Heaven Hill Distillery Announces 2022 Parker’s Heritage Collection Limited Edition Bottling

16th edition of the annual ultra-premium release is made up of two different ages of Bourbons, one of which has been double barreled, and then masterfully blended together post aging.

Heaven Hill Distillery announced today the release of the 16th edition of the Parker’s Heritage Collection, featuring a Double Barreled Blend Bourbon. The 16th Edition of the Parker’s Heritage Collection is an allocated product and will be available nationally and internationally in limited quantities at the suggested retail price of $174.99. A portion of the proceeds will continue to support ALS research and patient care in honor of Parker Beam, Master Distiller Emeritus, with more than $1 million contributed across the Parker’s Heritage Collection since 2013.

This edition consists of 67% 13-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey that has been double barreled for four weeks and then blended post aging with 33% 15-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. The 13-year-old Bourbon, from barrels produced in December 2008, was aged on the 5th-7th floors of Rickhouse Q and then re-barreled into new American white oak barrels with a level three char for four weeks. Then, it was later blended with 15-year-old Bourbon from barrels produced in January 2007 aged on the 2nd and 5th floors of Rickhouse II. The unique, bold flavor profile is balanced by the double barreled 13-year-old Bourbon, bringing out even more oak and spice notes from the barrel, with the 15-year-old Bourbon rounding out the older aged mouthfeel. At bottling, the liquid was uncut and non-chill filtered to preserve the complex flavors. This edition leads with an oak forward nose and hints of butterscotch and caramel, and once tasted is followed by a balance of spice notes, sweetness and slight oak tannins. The finish is long and warm with elements of dark chocolate, baking spices and white pepper. The mashbill for this edition is comprised of Heaven Hill Distillery’s traditional Bourbon mashbill 78% corn, 10% rye and 12% malted barley and ultimately bottled at barrel proof 132.2 or 66.1% alcohol by volume.

The late Heaven Hill Master Distiller Parker Beam, for whom the acclaimed series is named, was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (also called ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease) in 2010. The past nine editions from 2013-2021, including the “Promise of Hope” Bourbon, the “Original Batch” Straight Wheat Whiskey, the Kentucky Straight Malt Whiskey, the 24-Year-Old Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon, the 11-Year-Old Single Barrel, Orange Curaçao-finished Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Heavy Char Rye Whiskey, Heavy Char Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, and the Heavy Char Wheat Whiskey respectively, have raised more than one million dollars toward ALS research and patient care through contributions made by Heaven Hill for each bottle purchased. With the 2022 Double Barreled Blend edition, Heaven Hill will again contribute a portion of the proceeds from each bottle sold to the ALS Association.

Packaged in the same upscale 750ml bottle as the previous fifteen editions, but with an eggplant-colored label, the newest Parker’s Heritage Collection is available in a three-bottle case and will arrive at retail locations starting in early December. With previous releases having won multiple awards from Whisky Advocate magazine, Whisky Magazine and the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, the series stands as some of the most critically lauded American Whiskeys in recent memory. Past bottlings have won awards ranging from “Best North American Whiskey” to “American Whiskey of the Year” to “Best of Show, Brown Spirits.”

Evan Williams American-Made Heroes Foundation Fund Announces 2022 Grant Recipients

Veteran Community Action Grants award $75,000 to nonprofits that serve the veteran community

Evan Williams Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey announced today 15 recipients of the American-Made Heroes Foundation Fund grants. The 2022 Veteran Community Action Grants awarded $75,000 across projects that make a meaningful difference in the enjoyment and quality of life for veterans. From training service dogs to professional development and therapy, each program supports giving back to those who served.

As an American-made and owned Bourbon, Evan Williams is proud to support U.S. military veterans through the American-Made Heroes Foundation Fund. SAVING GRACE K9s: Saving Grace K9s matches dogs with combat Veterans at no cost to the Veteran and provides a 6–8-month intensive training program for each Veteran/dog team. Heaven Hill Announces Newly Renovated and Renamed Deep Eddy Vodka Bar at the KFC Yum! Center

The rebranding of the Deep Eddy Vodka Bar represents Heaven Hill’s long-term commitment to its partnership with the arena.

As a continuation of its long-standing relationship with the Louisville Arena Sports and Entertainment Properties (LASEP) and ASM Global Louisville, Heaven Hill Brands announces the rebranding of the Deep Eddy Vodka Bar at the KFC Yum! Center located on the Club Level of the facility. The space previously housed Burnett’s V Lounge, in place since the Yum! Center’s opening in 2010.

The Deep Eddy Vodka Bar, named after Deep Eddy Vodka, the company’s top-selling vodka brand, will showcase a comfortable and fun aesthetic utilizing the brand’s signature deep blue color accented by natural wood, brass fixtures and branded artwork sustainably constructed out of caps from bottles of Deep Eddy Vodka. The project began at the end of 2021, with construction kicking off in July 2022 and wrapping up in October 2022. Project Managers at Heaven Hill worked with Jennifer Dumesnil and Ann Swope with Swope Design Group on the design of the bar as well as Brandon Colvin and Steve McCarty with Miranda Construction on the buildout of the space. With a design inspired by the Deep Eddy Vodka Tasting Room in Dripping Springs, Texas, the bar represents the spirit of the brand and its core promise to bring people together for carefree good times.

Artwork featured in the Deep Eddy Vodka Bar was done by Jeffrey Adam Meszaros, aka “The Bottle Cap Guy,” who is based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.  While working as a bartender, he noticed the mass amounts of colorful and uniquely designed bottle caps being thrown out every day and thought “A landfill is not a good place for so many little pixels of art to be spending the next five hundred years breaking down.”  Meszaros began collecting these caps and, in 2009, created his first mosaic.  More examples of his work can be found at @jambottlecapart on social media.

Heaven Hill Distillery Announces Fall 2022 Edition of the Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond Series

Heaven Hill Distillery announced today the release of the Fall 2022 edition of Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey at 19 years old, the oldest to date in this specific line. Comprised of barrels produced in September 2003, and bottled in October of 2022, the tenth national release ushers in the latest edition to the hallmark series which adds to the bottled-in-bond legacy.

Bottled in an ornate decanter, the fall edition denotes a black label, consistent across all fall releases. As was the case for the past editions, this edition’s tax strip, which has always been a signature of transparency on bottled-in-bond products, will disclose when the liquid was produced and bottled. The Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond fall edition will be available in the 750ml size on an allocated basis. It meets the strict requirements of a bottled-in-bond: the product of a single distillery from a single distilling season, aged a minimum of four years, and bottled at 100 proof or 50% alcohol by volume. This edition is available at the suggested retail price of $240.

The Fall 2022 edition of Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is the first 19-year-old of the nationally released series and features Bourbon pulled from across three floors of rickhouse F and one floor of rickhouse X at Heaven Hill Distillery’s main campus. Heaven Hill Distillery Launches first Rye Whiskey of the Square 6 Series

Square 6 High-Rye Rye Whiskey is the second Evan Williams Bourbon Experience craft product of its series and a new Rye mashbill from Heaven Hill Distillery 

Heaven Hill Distillery today announced the launch of Square 6 High-Rye Rye Whiskey, the latest innovative product to come from the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience. This is the second Square 6 product produced exclusively at the artisanal distillery located at 528 W Main Street in Louisville, just steps from the site of Williams’ original distillery founded in 1783.  

The Square 6 High-Rye Rye Whiskey mashbill consists of 63% Rye, 24% Corn, and 13% Malted Barley, a new recipe under the Heaven Hill portfolio. Artisanal Distiller Jodie Filiatreau distills one barrel of American Whiskey per day at the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience and is continually crafting innovative mashbills and tweaking the hand-crafted process for each new recipe. This exclusive Rye Whiskey differentiates itself from Heaven Hill’s traditional Rye Whiskey mashbill of 51% Rye, 35% Corn and 14% Malted Barley, which is why it is designated as a High-Rye Rye Whiskey. This is Heaven Hill’s first product to bear such a high Rye content and is bottled at 95 proof. With notes of black tea, sweet honey, fig and molasses on the nose, along with all spice, pepper, vanilla and cardamom on the palate, this Square 6 release truly stands out when tasted alongside the first Square 6 High-Rye Bourbon released in May 2021.  

The limited release of Square 6 High-Rye Rye Whiskey will be available in small quantities as a unique offering at the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience and available at select Kentucky retailers for a suggested retail price of $89.99. Creole Old Fashioned by Lynn House: 

  • 2 oz. Elijah Craig Small Batch Bourbon
  • .5 oz. Monin® Spiced Brown Sugar Syrup
  • 3 Dashes of Chili Bitters
  • 4 Dashes of Creole Bitters

Instructions

Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Stir until well chilled. Strain into a rocks glass with a large ice cube and garnish with lemon peel.

To enjoy an Old Fashioned in its purest form, begin with:

  • 2 oz. Elijah Craig Small Batch Bourbon
  • .25 oz. Simple Syrup
  • 3 Dashes of Bitters
  • Orange Swath
  • 1 Brandied Cherry (optional)

Instructions

In a mixing glass, add bitters, simple syrup, Elijah Craig Small Batch, and ice. Stir until well chilled. Strain the cocktail over a large ice cube in a double old fashioned glass. Garnish with an orange peel and an optional brandied cherry. Enjoy or share with a friend using #OldFashionedWeek!

Blevins brings 20+ years of global industry experience and leadership

Heaven Hill today announced the appointment of Matt Blevins as Chief Marketing Officer. Effective October 24, Blevins will assume the role previously held by now Co-President Kate Latts. A 20-year global spirits industry leader, Blevins’ demonstrated expertise in business growth, brand marketing, and team development will continue to elevate Heaven Hill’s strategic growth plan and diverse, award-winning portfolio of brands.

Blevins is a proven marketing leader in the industry, guiding global, historic brands to achieve distinct positioning, creative innovation, and long-term value growth. With almost 20 years on the Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey portfolio, Blevins’ experience growing an inspiring portfolio of brands includes leading the brand as it became the most valuable global spirits trademark in 2021. With a people-first leadership style, Blevins delivers both demonstrated business results and thoughtful team development.

After serving in senior roles across the Jack Daniel’s brand, Blevins most recently served as Vice President, Global Brand Director Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey. He oversaw many aspects of global brand marketing from positioning, packaging, pricing, and promotion. By leading external agencies and a significant global community of marketers, Blevins created impact and influence across key areas to drive long-term success.

Heaven Hill National Spirits Specialist and Portfolio Mixologist Lynn House named “Best U.S. Brand Ambassador” at the 2022 Spirited Awards Ceremony in New Orleans

Yesterday, the Tales of the Cocktail Foundation recognized Heaven Hill’s Lynn House as the “Best U.S. Brand Ambassador” at the 16th Annual Spirited Awards in New Orleans. Since its founding in 2007, the Spirited Awards is one of the industry’s most outstanding awards events, recognizing premier beverage professionals, products, establishments, journalists and media across the multi-faceted spirits and cocktail community.

“I love being a part of the Heaven Hill Brands family where I have the unique pleasure of being my authentic self,” said Lynn. “In my role, I have been able to collaborate with individuals and groups around the country. This job has also given me a platform to promote visibility, inclusion and create opportunities for the generations to come.”

The Spirited Awards are composed of both U.S. and international industry accolades, media awards, and a few highly esteemed awards that are accessed in a global scale, transcending regionality. Lynn House is Heaven Hill’s National Spirits Specialist and Portfolio Mixologist. She is responsible for support of the entire Heaven Hill Portfolio with emphasis on on-premise focused brands. Specifically, she implements brand and spirit category education, cocktail development for both national and local programming and identifies current and upcoming cocktail trends. Lynn is a resource and mentor to external distributors and trade personnel as well as internal field sales and brand teams, working on programs like Elijah Craig Old Fashioned Week.

Previously at Heaven Hill, Lynn has served as the PAMA Liqueur Brand Ambassador and the National Brand Educator, covering all Heaven Hill Liqueur brands. She was a finalist for “Best American Bar Mentor” in the 2020 Spirited Awards. In 2017 and 2018, she was recognized as a finalist in the Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards Best American Brand Ambassador category. Additionally, Lynn is an inaugural inductee to the Dame Hall of Fame and has been featured in many industry publications.
