What inspired you to apply for a new role as Technical Skills Trainer, Bulk Liquids within Heaven Hill?
I was tasked with developing a training program for our Processing Department while I was still working in Bottling. I had to learn how to perform those roles in order to develop standardized procedures. It really helped me better understand the Bulk Liquids side of the building. There is so much opportunity with this new role to have a positive impact and really make a difference! It’s an incredible opportunity for me to expand my knowledge while also benefitting the company. We’ve got some really exciting things planned for the Bulk Liquids departments, so it’s definitely a win-win!
What do you love most about working at Heaven Hill?
I love working with my team! As cheesy as that sounds, having a group of people that I’m close with and work well with makes work feel less like actual work. Since I collaborate with almost every department within the plant, I work across a lot of different teams and get to know a lot of different people. I love that I have the autonomy to do that at Heaven Hill. The teams that I’ve been a part of have been absolutely wonderful, and the experiences I’ve had so far have been unforgettable!
Tell us an accomplishment you are most proud of in your career.
I’m most proud of a current bottling department project I’m working on to convert labels on one of our lines. The project is a culmination of operator feedback, data analysis, and future projections. It’s a project that’s been talked about for a long time, but we’re finally actioning it and working to resolve one of the top downtime issues in the plant. Tackling projects like these is rewarding because not only does it benefit the company by improving efficiency and reducing costs, it also greatly improves morale and the overall working environment!
Looking ahead, what are some things that you’re really excited about?
I’m really excited for the future growth of the plant. We have a lot of really cool, impactful projects in the works that are going to take the plant to the next level. I’m really excited to be a part of that!

What is your all-time favorite book and why?
Currently it’s “All the Light We Cannot See” by Anthony Doerr—It is set in occupied France during World War II and is a fascinating, easy-to-read story that challenges the way you think about people.
