Louisville, KY – Eimear May has joined the Heaven Hill Distilleries Sales Team as the North Texas Area Sales Manager and will work closely with local distributor sales teams to execute Heaven Hill’s strategic initiatives in both on- and off-premise accounts. She will report directly to Beau Barrows, Texas Regional Manager.

May has more than 10 years of experience in the industry, including sales and sales management experience with Centennial Fine Wine & Spirits and Glazer’s Wholesale Company. Most recently, she worked for Beam Suntory as a field marketing specialist responsible for the presentation and execution of category brands, brand plans, national sampling programs and new product introductions.

“Eimear brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will certainly enhance our Texas sales team. We’re very excited to have her aboard,” said Steve Feller, Vice President of Sales.

May attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, where she had a major in corporate communications and a minor in sociology. She resides in Frisco, Tx., with her husband, Todd.

Prior to joining Heaven Hill, Dingus developed extensive experience in the industry, working more than seven years for Southern Wine & Spirits in Colorado, most recently as a team/district manager.

“Tyler comes to us as a highly qualified, highly competent professional in our industry. His experience, knowledge and passion will help us to further develop our portfolio in the Colorado market,” said Steve Feller, Vice President of Sales.

Dingus earned his bachelor of business administration in marketing from the University of Kentucky and resides in Denver.

New Heaven Hill Bar Opening Fall 2014 in KFC YUM! Center

LOUISVILLE, KY. – Capitalizing on the success of its two current properties in the KFC Yum! Center — Burnett’s V Lounge and the Evan Williams Bourbon Bar — Heaven Hill Distilleries is planning to open a third bar on the main concourse this fall. 

The bar, simply named Heaven Hill, will serve a wide array of brands from Heaven Hill, giving KFC YUM! Center attendees a true taste of the company’s exciting and diverse portfolio of spirits, including such flagship brands as Evan Williams Bourbon; Larceny and Elijah Craig bourbons, Burnett’s Vodkas and Gin; Admiral Nelson’s and Blackheart Rums; HPNOTIQ Liqueur; The Christian Brothers Brandies; PAMA Pomegranate Liqueur; Domaine de Canton Ginger Liqueur; Lunazul Tequila; Cinerator Hot Cinnamon Flavored Whiskey and Rittenhouse Rye Whisky.  
It’s the first new construction in the KFC Yum! Center since it opened in 2010 and demonstrates the success of the partnership between Heaven Hill and the arena in addition to Heaven Hill’s commitment — as a proud locally-owned and independent company — to being active, visible and invested in the community.

“We could not be more pleased with Heaven Hill Distilleries’ decision to extend their partnership with the KFC Yum! Center. The addition of their new bar to our main concourse speaks highly of the group’s level of commitment to our patrons and the amount of success they have garnered from the other properties located in the arena,” said Dennis Petrullo, General Manager of the KFC Yum! Center. “The innovative design and convenient location that Heaven Hill offers will provide our attendees with a fun and unique new experience.”        

The 1,100 square-foot bar, located on the Second Street side of the main concourse, will have a sleek, modern look in keeping with the overall KFC Yum! Center aesthetic. It was designed by Populous, the same firm that designed the KFC Yum! Center, and it will have both bar-seating and a lounge area that will hold as many as 70 people. Also, there will be a walk-up bar patrons may access from the hallway. Large, illuminated panels displaying Heaven Hill products will adorn the walls along the concourse. 

The new Heaven Hill bar also will offer a small appetizer menu with dishes prepared by Centerplate Restaurant Group, giving patrons a full lounge experience in a premium, upscale atmosphere. 

“It will be a destination for people, a place where they’ll want to meet up, grab a drink and socialize before a show or during half-time,” said Allan Latts, Chief Operating Officer for Heaven Hill Distilleries, Inc. “It will be an experience they will enjoy and remember from their outing at the KFC Yum! Center.”
Heaven Hill signed a multi-year commitment in 2010 with Learfield Sports to create and sponsor the Evan Williams Bourbon Bar and Burnett’s V Lounge, two upscale clubs that are located at the east and west event levels of the arena and accessible only to lower level club seat holders. Prior to joining Heaven Hill, King worked in nonprofit communications, including the Jewish Community of Louisville. She also has numerous years of experience in news media, having worked at newspapers across the country, most recently The (Louisville) Courier-Journal.  

“Niki will be a great addition to our team,” said Josh Hafer, Communications Manager for Heaven Hill Distilleries, Inc. “Her strong writing background and experience with media will serve us well.”

King earned her undergraduate degree in journalism from the University of Memphis and her graduate degree in community and leadership development from the University of Kentucky. She resides in Louisville with her husband and daughter.

Combination of high quality, true barrel proof and scarcity have made the bottling a much sought-after rarity

LOUISVILLE, KY—Heaven Hill Distilleries, producers of Elijah Craig 12-Year-Old Barrel Proof Bourbon, are planning a third release of the rare and highly acclaimed bottling during 2014, and are planning three more releases during 2015, the company announced today. Elijah Craig Barrel Proof, originally released last year as a limited-edition companion to the mainline Elijah Craig Small Batch 12-Year-Old, will become a recurring but still highly allocated item in Heaven Hill’s American Whiskey Collection portfolio, all drawn from Heaven Hill’s vast inventory of aging barrels, the second largest in the world.

Unlike several other competitive products who bottle at a “standardized” barrel proof of, for example, 125°, Elijah Craig Barrel Proof is a true barrel proof, with each batch reflecting the actual proof of the small batch of 100 or fewer barrels that make up each “dump.” There were three releases in 2013—at 134.2, 137 and 133.2 proof—one March 2014 release at 132.4 proof, and one May 2014 release at 134.8 proof. Heaven Hill plans on beginning shipments of the third and final dump of 2014 in September, and will release the first edition of 2015 in January.

In just its first year, the brand has captured numerous prestigious awards—including “Double Gold” at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, “Extraordinary/Ultimate Recommendation” from the Ultimate Spirits Challenge, and “Best Bourbon, Best Brown Spirit in Show” at this year’s WSWA Convention Spirits Tasting Competition. It has also become something of a cult whiskey among Bourbon aficionados, with the combination of extraordinary quality, scarcity and value making it the object of many Bourbon want-lists. It is also a hot topic on Bourbon and American Whiskey forums and blogs.

Heaven Hill Distilleries, Inc. Names Jessica Partington as Metro New York Area Manager

BARDSTOWN, Ky. – Heaven Hill Distilleries, Inc. has promoted Jessica Partington to Metro New York Area Manager. In this role, Partington will be responsible for management of the entire Heaven Hill product portfolio in Metro New York. This position reports to Bob Fiore, New York Regional Manager.

Partington began her career with Heaven Hill in 2012 as Metro New York Area On-Premise Manager. Prior to her time with Heaven Hill, she worked in sales at the Hart Agency, a marketing company based out of Manhattan.

Partington graduated Cum Laude from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism. She currently resides in New York City.
