Spirit of Wellness 2025: Spotlight on the Employee Assistance Program

Mental Wellness is what helps us think, feel, connect, and function. It can be associated with many different types of activities: meditating, listening to music, talking to a friend, taking a walk in nature, or just carving out some time for peace and quiet in daily life. Mental Wellness is not just a focus on our mental or cognitive functioning, but also our emotions, our social relationships, and our ability to function in daily life.

To help you practice Mental Wellness with the help of our vendors, we are shining a spotlight on our Employee Assistance Program (EAP):

How does the EAP work?

Our EAP through Aetna Resources for Living is an employer sponsored program, available to you and all members of your household. That includes dependent children up to age 26, whether or not they live at home. Services are confidential and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You will receive up to 6 counseling sessions per concern per year with licensed network professionals at no cost to you; you don’t have to worry about copays or deductibles. Counseling sessions are available face to face, by phone or televideo. Support, consultation, and resources, through the EAP, are available for a range of concerns such as: helping you balance work and home life, family relationship issues, depression, conflict management, stress management, financial, legal and more.
