Larceny and Tequila Ocho Win 2024 American Distilling Institute Awards
Larceny and Tequila Ocho have recently received honors from the 2024 American Distilling Institute Awards. Larceny was named the number one bourbon and Tequila Ocho Anejo was named the number one 100% agave tequila. These are high level awards that represent the hard work of our team members who make these products possible!
Larceny Barrel Proof
Larceny Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Barrel Proof A124 is a high-proof bourbon whiskey. This particular expression is part of the Larceny Barrel Proof series, which offers uncut and unfiltered versions of their popular Larceny bourbon. A124 refers to the specific batch and release of this whiskey. Each batch is unique, varying in flavor profile and intensity due to factors such as aging conditions and barrel selection. This bourbon has robust and intense flavor profile, with rich notes of caramel, vanilla, oak, and spice typical of high-quality Kentucky straight bourbon whiskeys.
The ADI Judging Panel described the bourbon as featuring: Pronounced brown sugar, caramel, and fruity aromas on the nose. It’s sweet on the palate, featuring tropical fruit flavors along with the typical bourbon notes of caramel, vanilla, and well-seasoned oak. The finish is long and sweet with a lingering fruity note.
Tequila Ocho Añejo
Tequila Ocho Añejo is carefully aged in ex-bourbon oak barrels for a minimum of one year, allowing it to bring out subtle flavors of caramel, vanilla, and oak while still retaining the distinctive agave notes. The aging process imparts a smooth and velvety texture to the Tequila.
The ADI Judging Panel described the Tequila as featuring: Pronounced agave notes on the nose along with some wet stone minerality and vegetative and fruity aromas. On the palate, it’s sweet and fruity with notes of cooked agave, caramel, and some tropical fruit notes. The finish is long, sweet, and fruity with lingering caramel notes.
