Our Cocktail Recipe for Success

Some of our favorite moments during our Co-Presidency are when we have the chance to speak on Heaven Hill’s legacy and/or dive into our vision for the future. This can range from presenting at the National Sales Meeting, to one-on-one meetings and many meaningful connection points in between. We recently had an awesome opportunity to do exactly that with consumer-facing visitor center team members at Heaven Hill’s annual KY Hospitality Summit.

This year, we’ve been sharing what we call our Raise the Bar Cocktail Recipe for Success. It’s a simple, but effective framework for thinking about the three “key ingredients” our business needs to continue its rich history and rapid progress. 

Ingredient #1 – Invest for Growth

Being a family-owned company allows us to be nimble and empowers us with a unique multi-generational mindset. We are deeply committed to the future, and the facts speak for themselves: Over the past 6 years, we’ve invested $330M in capital infrastructure. When Heaven Hill Springs Distillery begins production, we have the capacity to increase our Bourbon production by 33%. With over 2M barrels of aging whiskey, we will be prepared for anything. Most importantly, we keep Growing Our People quite literally: We’ve increased our employee headcount by more than 52% over the last five years.

Ingredient #2 – Strong Relationships

Speaking about our people… we firmly believe we have the best of the best on the Heaven Hill team and in our network. Relationships are such an important part of our business and they always have been. From connections to each other, to consumers, to distributors and vendors, when we live the Spirited Commitment, we build impactful and strong relationships that last.

Ingredient #3 – Beloved Brands

Our portfolio of beloved brands continues to outshine the competition. Through product development, innovation, programming and acquisition, we’re cultivating beloved brands worldwide – and we couldn’t be more proud. I mean, how could we not be? Look at this lineup! From a focus on making Elijah Craig available everywhere and the consumer passion for brands like Deep Eddy to continuing the momentum on the Samson & Surrey brand and everything in between, we have infinite runway both in the US and around the globe to grow our brands.
