The latest addition to our Louisville-based visitor’s center, the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience (EWBE), is a new mixology class led by the one-and-only Micah Smith. “Mixin’ With Micah” is an innovative, new experience for visitors that allows them to learn more about the craft first-hand, on-site, and with a passionate teacher. The class highlights Micah’s unique talent and authenticity.

“This is an opportunity to get back into those educational beginnings,” Micah said. “I love the idea of being able to teach people something that they can go home and do, along with the science behind it.”

Micah started as a tour guide at the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience and says he is excited for the opportunity to get back to interacting with guests and sharing his knowledge.

This never-before-seen class will encourage “outside the box” thinking by incorporating atypical ingredients like jams and jellies that are available for purchase at Evan Williams Bourbon Experience. Additionally, local bartenders are invited to invent their own signature cocktail and come teach the class how to make it using Heaven Hill and Evan Williams products.

“We want to highlight that local crowd,” Micah says. “We have an ever-growing bar and mixology scene and there are so many talented people out there.

The Evan Williams Bourbon Experience opened in 2013 and has been a remarkable stop on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail for 10 years and counting. The EWBE team continues to provide new and interesting offerings to the public.

“Having another experience to showcase our products and Micah makes this concept very unique,” said General Manager Evan Williams Bourbon Experience Ashley Cuyjet. “It’s something different that we’ve never done!”
