Heaven Hill Distillery Recognizes Women’s History Month
“I think a lot of people don’t really realize how hard women have had to work to get into this industry,” she says. “So, to understand the history of it, and the work that has been done, I think it fuels you a little bit. It’s that foundation and always understanding where you’ve come from, and I think it gives you a map of where to go or what needs to be done.”
The story takes a look back at Lynn’s experience in bartending and a fuller look at the history of women in bartending.
HHD also created a feature podcast for Women’s History Month, sitting down with five women from across Heaven Hill – distillers, marketers, educators and more – to learn about their unique roles, backgrounds and thoughts on what’s ahead in the industry.
American Whiskey Writer Steve Coomes moderates a panel with Chief Marketing Officer Kate Shapira Latts, Vice President, American Whiskey Susan Wahl, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer Jes Pendergrass, Lynn House and Distillery Quality Control Specialist Abby Long.
