Say Hello to Jay Giordano, On-Premise Channel Manager, MA & RI

What do you love most about working at Heaven Hill?

I love the versatility and flexibility the entire portfolio offers. It allows outreach to many different styles of accounts. I am still very new within the company, but the positive company culture is another thing that I love about Heaven Hill.

Tell us an accomplishment you are most proud of in your career.

Passing the Beverage Alcohol Resource 5-Day course in New York City in 2020. I was on the waiting list for this course for years, and when I got the nod that I was accepted I was thrilled. This course alone opened many paths for me within the beverage industry. I made a lot of connections with some of the most well-known names in the industry. The day I received a phone call from Dale Degroff regarding passing the exam was one of the more proud moments I’ve had in my career.

Looking ahead, what are some things that you’re really excited about?

From a professional standpoint, I’m excited to make an impact within the on-premise market in Massachusetts and Rhode Island for Heaven Hill. My goal is to become the supplier of choice for all on-premise accounts. On a personal level, I am excited to participate in Haymakers for Hope’s ‘Rock N Rumble XI,’ which is a boxing charity event that takes place this spring in Boston.

What’s currently on your Spotify playlist?

My liked playlist has music ranging from Gary Clark Jr. to Meek Mill to Leon Bridges to Mac Miller to Frank Sinatra. I’m all over the place with the type of music I prefer. I actually prefer a vinyl to Spotify when possible.

What is your all-time favorite book and why?

I don’t know about my all-time favorite, but a recent favorite of mine is ‘Greenlights’ by Matthew McConaughey. I think it’s a very helpful book when it comes to staying positive and giving off positive vibes.

What are three things you can’t live without?

Family, friends and connections.

What would you like to be remembered for?

Making a positive impact and being a person my friends and family can rely on.

Tell us about an organization or cause you are passionate about.

There are many things I’m passionate about, but the Food & Beverage community is at the top of that list.
