Say Hello to Johnnie Jackson, HR Generalist

How long have you been part of the Heaven Hill family?

October 20, 2020.

What’s inspiring you in life right now?

Perseverance inspires me now and always. Life throws so many obstacles and curveballs. Never letting it get in the way of my goals or slow me down inspires me!

Tell us about an organization or cause you are passionate about.

I completed a service-learning project for school during the winter with our local shelter, Bethany Haven. I helped at Room in the Inn, and I really enjoyed the volunteers and the cause.

Which Heaven Hill corporate value do you relate to most and why?

Continuous Improvement – being in a current state of change, I can relate to ongoing improvement of services and processes. However, remaining positive and using this change as an opportunity to really focus on the continual improvement is something I look forward to.

What’s your favorite Heaven Hill memory?

Favorite Memory – I have been with Heaven Hill for such a short period of time, so few memories have been made. I am grateful for getting to work so close with Mary Ellen for the months that I did. She was a joy to work with, and we had many laughs together.

What’s one thing people may not know about you?

Something people might not know about me is that my first degree is in Culinary Arts. Then, I later decided to get a degree in Marketing.

What’s your favorite time of day?

Even though I do not love waking up, I would say my favorite time of the day is mornings, after I complete my workout and the sun is coming up. Really, any time that the sun is shining is my favorite!

What are three things you can’t live without?

Three things I cannot live without are the Gym, Starbucks, and my hairdresser.

What would you like to be remembered for?

I would like to be remembered for my resilience, dedication, and humbleness.
