Deep Eddy Vodka Wins 2021 Tower Award

The University of Texas at Austin Center for Community Engagement has awarded Deep Eddy Vodka a 2021 Tower Award for its community outreach during the winter storm that devastated the state.

Working with over a dozen Austin businesses – including heavy hitters like Red Bull and Kendra Scott – Deep Eddy Vodka raised nearly $140,000 in February, providing over 10,000 warm meals and other needed items to people across the city.

The Tower Awards are presented annually to honor excellence in volunteerism among the students, faculty and staff of UT Austin. Since 1992, awards have been presented at an on-campus ceremony to honor the dedication of the local community. Most of the awards are nomination based.

Deep Eddy Vodka was one of two recipients of the Good Neighbor Award, recognizing the dedication of partners who made a significant contribution to community engagement efforts through financial support of an individual program or the Austin community.

“I’m proud of our team for taking this initiative to care for our friends and neighbors in Austin,” said Group Product Director Reid Hafer. “We’re also grateful for our community partners, who contributed so much to this effort. We could not have done this without them.”

During the ceremony, the presenter thanked Deep Eddy for stepping up and helping Texas during this difficult time.
