Recently, Heaven Hill National Spirits Specialist and Portfolio Mixologist, Lynn House participated in the SIP Summer Series virtual event hosted by Bourbon Women. The SIP Summer Series was a three-day digital conference covering a top shelf collection of spirits education. Featured content included unique tastings, mixology demonstrations, food pairings, and informative and engaging segments with industry experts like Lynn. The Bourbon Women team provided a shopping list for attendees to use in preparation for the event to ensure they were able to engage with each segment. Additionally, the event featured a digital silent auction with proceeds benefiting Bourbon Women’s mission to educate, mentor, and celebrate the spirited nature of women who enjoy their Bourbon.

During Lynn’s segment titled Women Behind Bars: How Prohibition Led to Industry Inclusion Lynn shares her experience in the spirits industry and the history of how women became an integral part of the spirits industry as a whole. Additionally, during the segment Lynn demonstrates how to make one of her favorite cocktails, the Doris Collins, inspired by Doris Payne.
