Say Hello to Kelsey Lumbreras, Deep Eddy Vodka Executive Administrator
How long have you been part of the Heaven Hill family?
Five years and then some!
What’s inspiring you in life right now?
The first responders, the teachers, those who want change.. and those who are sacrificing for the good of their community. It certainly makes you want to do better and be better.
Best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Dreams don’t work unless you do.
Tell us about an organization or cause you are passionate about.
HaysHope2Go is a project to alleviate hunger among students who are most in need in the Hays CISD district in Hays County, Texas. Food insecurity is a major barrier to having students focus on their work in class and lowers the ability of children reaching their full academic potential. This organization aids in the funding of food, clothing, school supplies, personal hygiene items, cleaning supplies, formula/diapers. With the community support and generosity, the Hays CISD community can take on poverty and hunger for the benefit of the children.
Which Heaven Hill corporate value do you relate to most and why?
The one that comes to mind first is Continuous Improvement. A college professor once told me to never stop learning. I like to challenge myself to be better or constantly engage in something new, whether it be in my professional or personal life.
What’s your favorite Heaven Hill memory?
Seeing all the prep work that was put into place during last year’s Deep Eddy Vodka National Sales Meeting (NSM) come to life. Also seeing Refried Dreams take the stage at Deep Eddy NSM!
What’s one thing people may not know about you?
I’m a crazy plant lady. It’s getting harder to hide, as more plants are starting to appear around my desk. It’s beginning to look like a jungle at Austin HQ.
What’s your favorite time of day?
Really early in the morning when it’s cooler outside.. I’m usually letting my dogs out and having a cup of coffee.
What’s one ingredient you put in everything?
Black pepper, some may say too much.
What 3 people living or dead would you like to make dinner for?
Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Anthony Bourdain, and Robin Williams
