We are proud to deepen our commitment to the communities we call home through our partnership with TreesLouisville, a local nonprofit dedicated to planting, protecting and expanding Louisville’s tree canopy. Together with FM Global, $20,000 will support this work and help advance our goal of planting 5,000 trees in our communities by 2030.

FM Global is partnering with us on this initiative as part of its broader commitment to strengthening communities and creating long-term environmental and social impact. Together, we are investing in a healthier, more resilient Louisville through the power of trees and the lasting benefits they bring to the places where people live and work.

TreesLouisville has been making an impact in the Louisville community since 2015, working to strengthen the city’s tree canopy through planting, education and community engagement. The organization also collects and reports extensive data on Louisville’s trees, helping identify where trees are needed most and where continued investment can make the greatest difference.

The first half of our funding will support TreesLouisville’s Tree Week tree giveaway and kick off tree planting where they will distribute 200 three-gallon trees, as well as plant and maintain an additional 35 trees. These trees already have developed root systems and are selected to have a stronger opportunity to take root and deliver immediate meaningful benefits in the communities where they are planted.

The remaining funding is expected to support a winter planting project and TreesLouisville’s spring tree giveaway, extending the impact of our investment and creating even more opportunities to add healthy trees to our community.

This work brings us another meaningful step closer to our goal of planting 5,000 trees in our communities by 2030. Once the 235 trees supported through this funding are planted in the fall, we will have helped plant 2,286 trees—nearly halfway to our goal.
