​​Heaven Hill is in need of runners, van drivers, and an event volunteer for the 2021 Ragnar Bourbon Chase. There are currently two open runner spots to round out Heaven Hill’s 12-person Bourbon Chase team. This is a fun event for us, and skill level varies from 8 minute milers to 12 minute milers so no need to feel intimidated to join. We also need a van driver to shuttle runners from one relay spot to the next, a fun job if you can handle a 15-passenger van through beautiful Kentucky! Lastly, we need one volunteer to work a four-hour shift at a location/time of their choice along the race course.

About the Race

The Bourbon Chase is a 200+ mile relay through the beautiful countryside of Kentucky hitting as many distilleries as possible along the way. The race starts on Friday October 15th at Jim Beam Distillery and finishes Saturday evening, October 16th in downtown Lexington. Runners will also pass through the Hill Bourbon Experience where they will be able to grab snacks and shop. We have a team of 12 runners that each run three legs of the race which vary in distance/difficulty from three miles up to nine miles. Each runner will average about 16-17 miles in total across their three legs. Every year comes with a theme where teams dress up and decorate their vans. This years’ theme is “Where’s Waldo.”

In 2019, Heaven Hill placed 39 among 48 corporate teams with an overall time of 33 hours and 25 minutes and an average team pace of 9:53 minutes per mile.
