Bardstown’s Egg-stra Special Family Event

Bardstown’s Egg-stra Special Family Event

On sunny Sunday, April 13th, the spirit of spring came alive in Bardstown with the team’s first-ever Egg Hunt hosted by the Bardstown plant. After the fun and success of their Spirit of Fun Trunk-or-Treat event, the idea bloomed to create another moment that would bring families, coworkers, and the community closer together. The goal? Build relationships, strengthen bonds, and simply enjoy a good time with great people.

The hunt was a hit, drawing in around 50 excited kids and their families. The event was full of fun—pictures with the Easter Bunny, sweet treats, age-grouped hunts, and a prize-filled golden egg challenge. Each of the four age groups had two golden eggs hidden among the others, and whoever found one got a basket stuffed with goodies.

From tiny toddlers putting eggs in their shirts and shorts to the older kids carefully inspecting every corner, the joy was contagious. After the hunt, seeing the kids sit down, open their eggs, and light up with smiles was a moment everyone held close. The energy was pure happiness, lots of thank-you’s, laughter, and even parents rolling down their windows to show their appreciation.

It wasn’t just fun and games, this event was a masterclass in planning. Safety came first, thanks to the incredible work of Eileen Kristensen, who checked every detail: fencing off areas, blocking entrances, making sure every step was structured and clear. There was even a safety meeting to kick off the day, ensuring everyone was on the same page.

One of the fan-favorite parts? The Heaven Hill Distillery truck, decked out in colorful decorations, and of course, the Easter Bunny—played by one of the team’s very own supervisors! That little touch made it even more special.

It was a day built on teamwork, creativity, and care. From stuffing eggs and building baskets to organizing the hunt and ensuring the kids’ safety, it was all hands-on deck. And in the end, it wasn’t just about eggs and prizes. It was about bringing the Bardstown plant family closer, giving kids a magical day, and reminding everyone what a little teamwork and a lot of fun can do.
