Buda Team Optimizes High Performance
Our team members at the Deep Eddy Vodka Buda facility have had some exciting wins as of late. They continue to go above and beyond to maintain the highest quality standards for the beloved Deep Eddy brand. Over the past few months, the team has achieved a significant decrease in consumer complaints. These results are a testament to their unwavering commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction and highlights how they’re doing their part to Raise the Bar.
The team is proud to report that in both June and August they received zero customer complaints, and they’ve only had three complaints so far in FY25. This is a remarkable improvement compared to previous years and is a clear indication that their efforts to enhance product quality and ensure customer satisfaction are paying off.
One of the key factors contributing to this success is the team’s focus on delivering fresh products to consumers. Since Deep Eddy’s flavored Vodkas are made with real fruit juice, product quality can diminish over time, much like fresh fruit juice. To address this, the team has implemented several measures to ensure Deep Eddy puts its best foot forward to customers:
- Inventory Management: All flavored vodkas kept in inventory are under 60 days old. This ensures fresh products reach distributor partners, who then deliver them to the retail channels.
- On-site Storage: Juice concentrate is now stored in an onsite freezer to maintain ideal temperatures until it is used to make Deep Eddy’s signature vodkas. Similarly, the facility has a flavor cave to store natural flavorings at optimal temperatures.
- Quality Control: Quality procedures have become more stringent. By introducing more rigorous testing for caps and adding a second shift quality lab professional, the team has ensured continuous monitoring and improvement.
These measures, along with the Buda team’s dedication and pride, have significantly reduced the number of complaints received. The brand continues to strengthen distributor relationships to ensure that once the product leaves Buda, it follows the First In, First Out (FIFO) method to keep shelved Vodka fresh. This wouldn’t be possible without the great work of our Sales team members.
It’s incredible to see yet another example of how members of the Heaven Hill team are empowering high performance to Raise the Bar.
