Calling All Veterans- We Want to Honor You!
Each year, on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, the United States observes Veterans Day to honor those who have served in any branch of the country’s military. Did you know? This holiday has formally been celebrated as “Veterans” Day since 1954 but was previously known as Armistice Day. The celebration arose after the “Great War” of WWI.
Honoring veterans is a long-standing Heaven Hill Brands practice through the Evan Williams American-Made Heroes program. This year, we want to send a special thank you to Heaven Hill employees who are veterans for all the sacrifices they have made.
If you are a veteran, please click here to let us know by Oct. 1!
Evan Williams American-Made Heroes
Evan Williams started as an American-Owned and American-Made Bourbon. With its strong American roots, Evan Williams wanted to honor the American Heroes in some way. This started the Evan Williams fund called “American-Made Heroes Foundation,” which was established in 2020. This foundation salutes U.S. military veterans who dedicated their lives to helping others, especially fellow service members. Every year Evan Williams comes out with a special Batch of Bourbon and features a variety of American Heroes on each bottle. They honor heroes by telling their stories, raising awareness for charitable causes and supporting nonprofit organizations that serve the veteran community. Every year the foundation donates up to $75,000 in grant funding to qualified organizations that serve the U.S. Military.
