In a year defined by teamwork and resilience, on December 30 we celebrated another historic Heaven Hill milestone as we filled the nine millionth barrel of Bourbon – an incredible achievement that few companies in our industry have achieved. To the Heaven Hill family, thank you for your continued focus, dedication and perseverance.  You continue to build upon the legacy built by our founders.  Because of your efforts, we are as excited by the prospects for our future as we have ever been.

Highlighted below are some key accomplishments in 2020 that have furthered our mission and growth as a company:

• The 2019 Annual Philanthropy project also wrapped up in January with Betty Jo Boone, Bottling House Maintenance Technician, presenting a check for $16,512.67 to Coalition for the Homeless.
• Once COVID-19 hit, quickly provided a safe work environment for our team members by implementing CDC health and safety protocols including restructuring work areas to allow for social distance, health surveys and the use of masks.
• Supported our local communities and the hospitality industry professional through a $400,000 philanthropic campaign.
• Produced, bottled and donated over 200,000 liters of hand sanitizer to support healthcare facilities, first responders, and high-risk populations in cooperation with local and state government.
• Set up the technology infrastructure to enable the transition for employees to work efficiently and productively from home.
• Donated an additional $200,000 to various veteran and industry worker organizations through individual brand sponsored programs.
• Launched a new diversity, equity and inclusion effort across the organization.
• Expanded our partnership with the largest distilled spirits distributor in the United States, Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits, allowing us to achieve distributor alignment for our portfolio across the United States and further solidify our relationship with the country’s premier distributor of alcoholic beverages.
• Celebrated Deep Eddy Vodka’s tenth anniversary and the incredible success it has achieved.
• Completed installation of a new rail spur and M Line at our Bardstown site to support the continued growth of the business.
• Initiated for the first time, 24-hour production at our Bardstown plant with the start of a 3^rd shift in bottling.
• The Evan Williams Bourbon family, the second-largest selling Bourbon in the world, got a striking new look. Evan Williams Black, Evan Williams Bottled-in-Bond and Evan Williams Flavors received a new signature bottle with updated label designs.
• PAMA Pomegranate Liqueur unveiled an evolutionary package redesign reflective of the brand’s unique equity within the industry as the first true pomegranate liqueur. The refreshed, modern design and decoration delineates the brand’s premium flavor quality, while the updated bottle refines utility for both bartenders and consumers around the world to “Just Add PAMA.”
• 2020 was the year of the 1.75L with four out of the five fastest growing brands showing the biggest growth in that size – Evan Williams, Elijah Craig Small Batch, Larceny, and Carolans Irish Cream. Hpnotiq kept it lit this year rounding out the top five fastest growing brands by volume from January 2020 – November 2020.
• New products hit the shelves and continued to expand our diverse portfolio of award-winning brands:

  • Elijah Craig Toasted Barrel
  • Larceny Barrel Proof
  • Blackheart Toasted Coconut
  • Parker’s Heritage Collection 10-Year-Old Heavy Char
• The Bourbon Heritage Center Phase One renovation was completed, unveiling beautiful new tasting rooms and retail space. Phase Two is on track for completion early summer 2021, including the self-guided, experiential tour areas, You Do Bourbon lab, and rooftop bar.
• And our achievements were recognized across the industry, including the following awards:
  • Heaven Hill was named Large Business of the Year at the inaugural Louisville Business First Family Business Awards
  • Larceny Barrel Proof won Whisky of the Year from Whisky Advocate
  • Wine Spectator and Vinepair ranked Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond as the top Bourbon of 2020
  • Lunazul Anejo and Deep Eddy Original won Best of Class in the 2020 SIPS Awards
  • Parker’s Heritage Rye won Best Rye Whiskey from the 2020 San Francisco World Spirits Competition
  • Carolans Salted Caramel won the Chairman’s Trophy from the 2020 Ultimate Spirits Challenge
