Congratulations 2019 Bourbon Chase Team
Completing the race in 33 hours, 25 minutes
On October 18th, Heaven Hill competed in the Bourbon Chase for the fourth year placing 296th out of a grand total of 425 teams. The team completed the race in 33 hours and 25 minutes – 24 minutes faster than last year.
The Bourbon Chase is an annual two-day event attracting nearly 500 teams from around the world to run the roads of Kentucky, while visiting a number of major distilleries along the way, including the Bourbon Heritage Center. Teams are comprised of 12 runners, each who competes in a relay-style competition averaging nearly 17-20 miles throughout the two-days. Total, the team will race 203.1 miles beginning in Clermont, Ky. and ending in Lexington, Ky.
The Heaven Hill team, chose a unique way to represent the event’s theme of Heroes and Villains by honoring the six Evan Williams 2019 American-Made Heroes, with window clings and magnets on the team van (used to carry the team from checkpoint to checkpoint while one team member is racing). Additionally, the team featured its very own heroine, Kathleen MacSwan (36), a friend of Heaven Hill and Cancer Survivor. Meet the entire 2019 team:
