Cross-Functional Family Night at Louisville Slugger Field
Heaven Hill team members within driving distance were invited to enjoy a night with their families at Louisville Slugger Field. Employees from various departments of the organization came out to watch The Louisville Bats, the city’s AAA baseball team, take on a competitor as part of an Evan Williams’ partnership and activation.
Those who attended got to eat for free in a shaded area located outside the right outfield, giving ample opportunity for everyone to mingle and connect with one another. Attendees were treated to a great game and great fun.
Earlier this summer, employees at the Bardstown Plant and Bernheim Distillery entered to win a giveaway. The winner, Heaven Hill Brands Foreman Joe Bowling, received the honor of throwing the ceremonial first pitch at the game. Joe has worked with Heaven Hill for an impressive 33 years and counting, making him the perfect person to represent our team in this way!
Evan Williams and Baseball
In 2016, Evan Williams was announced as a proud partner of Major League Baseball. They have sponsored numerous world series’, individual teams, as well as MLB Tonight. Evan Williams also has partnered with the Louisville Bats and in the 2018-2019 season, they were the official sponsor of the team. The Louisville Bats has a reoccurring theme titled “Masher’s night” that pays homage to the deeply rooted Bourbon history in Kentucky and their partner Evan Williams. The most recent Heaven Hill family night was hosted on Mashers Night.
History of the Louisville Bats
The Louisville Bats are the AAA affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds. The franchise debuted in 1982 as an affiliate to the cardinals known as the Louisville Redbirds. They switched their name to the RiverBats in 1998 when they switched their affiliate to the Milwaukee Brewers. Just two years later they switched their affiliate team to the Cincinnati Reds and it has remained that way since 2000. In 2002, they became the bats. The field is named after the Louisville Slugger Museum which is located nearby.
