Deep Eddy Vodka Hosts Volunteer Tree Plantings
Last month, the Deep Eddy Vodka team was able to participate in its first, in-person, volunteer tree planting events! Deep Eddy has also formally announced its sponsorship of Buda in the Scenic Texas “Certified Scenic City” program. The mission of the Scenic City Certification Program is to support and recognize municipalities that implement high- quality scenic standards for public roadways and public spaces, including trees and landscaping along major roadways, city streets, street medians and in parking lots.
In effort to make an impact and to align with Heaven Hill Brands’ broader 2030 Environmental and Sustainability Strategy, Team Deep Eddy is proud to support the area surrounding its distillery. Over the span of a couple of days, Deep Eddy team members worked together to plant 10 trees at the tasting room in Dripping Springs and 30 trees at the plant in Buda.
The trees planted during these efforts are all native Texas trees including Live Oaks, Texas Red Oaks, Monterrey Oaks, Yaupon Holly, and Texas Cedar Elms. These trees will not only help provide shade to the Deep Eddy facilities, but also help native animals and insects that rely on native vegetation to survive.
The team was also able to honor their beloved former coworker Brian Wiseman with a memorial tree and a plaque which is on display at the tasting room.
Heaven Hill is committed to supporting environmental sustainability and corporate citizenship as a whole. We are excited to continue tree planting efforts throughout our host cities and can’t wait to keep investing in the communities where our team members work and live for the long term.
