Drinkworks Shutting Down Effective Immediately
As you may have seen, Drinkworks, a joint venture of Anheuser-Busch (NYSE: BUD) and Keurig Dr. Pepper, is shutting down production effective immediately. The Drinkworks Home Bar Classic system is similar to a Keurig® machine made for coffee, the system used pods to prepare cocktails, brews, ciders and more at the touch of a button. Last year, Heaven Hill announced a partnership to develop cocktails for use in these machines, recently launching Elijah Craig Old Fashioned pods and the Deep Eddy Day Drink pack. Those partnerships will end when the business closes.
According to a statement on Drinkworks website, those who have purchased a Drinkworks machine are eligible for reimbursement, regardless of when it was purchased:
On 12/15 we made the difficult decision to stop selling our Home Bar machines. We’re offering you the opportunity to receive reimbursement for your Home Bar, no matter where or when you bought it. The offer is valid until February 28, 2022, and you can find more information here.
Pods & accessories will continue to be available for purchase on Drinkworks.com and at participating retailers until March 31, 2022 or while supplies last.
