Evan Williams Expands Partnership with Texas Rangers Baseball, Opens New Evan Williams Lounge
Evan Williams has a history of partnering with Major League Baseball, sponsoring the World Series and various teams including the Texas Rangers, and serving as the presenting sponsor for MLB Tonight during the Postseason.
This year, Evan Williams’ presence with MLB local teams continues as the brand kicks off a multi-year partnership with the Texas Rangers. This partnership expands on the existing relationship between Evan Williams and the Texas Rangers, which the brand has sponsored since 2017. The full partnership was set to launch during the 2020 MLB season, but unfortunately impacts from COVID-19 have pushed the full partnership back to begin during the 2021 MLB season.
However, once the 2021 season begins, Evan Williams will become an integral part of the fan experience at the new home of the Texas Rangers, Globe Life Stadium. The brand will activate throughout the new stadium through prominent field signage and features on IPTV displays inside the stadium, the largest of which is above right field and measures nearly 58 feet tall by 150 feet wide. Most excitingly, the brand has established the Evan Williams Lounge, located at field level on the first base line. This club-level lounge is set to open during the 2021 season, will offer fans a unique perspective of the game where they can also learn more about Kentucky’s first distiller, Evan Williams and the history of the brand. The lounge is nearly complete, but due to COVID-19 some construction has been delayed. Check out the photos below for a preview of the lounge design thus far. Fun Fact – the Texas Rangers are utilizing the Evan Williams Lounge as their secondary dugout due to Social Distancing regulations.
Despite the shortened 2020 season and absence of fans in stadium, Evan Williams branding is still prominently featured in the new Texas Rangers Globe Life Stadium. The large field-level sign, located down the first base line, just outside of the Evan Williams Lounge, is visible on game broadcasts and has already been spotted on Fox Sports 1. In addition to this exposure, the local sales team will activate around the 2020 partnership at retail through co-branded Texas Rangers POS.
