Heaven Hill Bottling Facility and Warehouses, Bardstown, Kentucky Protocol

Heaven Hill Bottling Facility and Warehouses, Bardstown, Kentucky Protocol

Heaven Hill facilities will now require health screenings including a health questionnaire and temperature check for all employees. Per existing policy, no employee is allowed to travel between Heaven Hill sites, unless approved by a member of the Executive Leadership Team for a specific purpose necessary to perform their job responsibilities.

Currently, most screenings will be conducted by GardaWorld, a third-party security company. All screenings will be kept confidential. Screening protocol will vary at each location depending on the number of entrances and employees. See below an outline of screening protocol for the Bardstown bottling facility and warehouses:

Production Employees:

Employees working in the bottling facility or cistern room will be directed to a parking spot upon arrival. We will be filling in all spots from the north end of the lot (nearest the employee entrance) to the south (on the Bourbon Heritage Center side of the lot).  Employees should remain in their vehicle until a health screener from GardaWorld wearing proper PPE approaches their vehicle to conduct a health questionnaire and take the employee’s temperatureIf the temperature is above 100.4 F (38 C) the employee will be asked to pull to an assigned space and remain in their vehicle until a re-test can be performed about 15 minutes laterBased on the outcome of the health questionnaire and the temperature scan the health screener will provide direction on entering the facility or proceeding home and informing their supervisor of the situation.

Bardstown Barrel Warehouse Employees:

Bardstown barrel warehouse employees will be conducting the “Self-Check” process with assistance/oversight of their supervisor due to their location on the property and number of employees at each site. Warehouse employees should report to the break area at their assigned locations where they will conduct “Self-Check” with assistance from the supervisor. Supervisors will conduct the health questionnaire using the health screening log. Employees will then disinfect the thermometer and take their temperature held close to the forehead until hearing a triple beep. Supervisors will NOT be performing the temperature screen but will oversee the Health Screening Log and ask questions to employees. If the temperature is above 100.4 F (38 C) the employee will be asked to go back to their vehicle until a re-test can be performed about 15 minutes later. Based on the outcome of the Health Questionnaire and the temperature scan the employee shall follow the directions provided at the “Self-Check” station on proceeding to work or proceeding home and informing their supervisor of the situation.
