Heaven Hill is Dedicated to Employee Appreciation & Engagement
First, we want to thank all of you for your dedication over the past almost six months of living in what we’re calling the “new normal.” Each of you has had to adapt to a new way of working, wearing face coverings and maintaining social distance while working in the plant. We appreciate your understanding as we have made these necessary changes to keep our Heaven Hill family safe.
Recently, many of you received Summer Safety care packages delivered to you at the facility. If you have yet to receive yours, you should be receiving it soon. This is just one of many exciting employee appreciation efforts in the works. While we can’t share all of the surprises just yet, we wanted to give you an idea of some of the things to expect in the coming weeks and months in terms of employee appreciation and engagement.
Book Club
Heaven Hill is partnering with the Nelson County Library to launch a virtual employee book club to help us stay connected during this unprecedented time. Each month we will announce a new book, which we will supply copies of to those who sign up along with worksheets and materials to aid discussion during the meeting. Book genres will vary each month in an effort to offer an array of titles for all areas of interest. Employees will have a month to read the book before the meeting, which will take place the third Thursday of each month. During the meeting, we will discuss overall thoughts of the book, themes, character development and more.
Participation is completely optional, and you can alternate which months you participate based on interest in the book pick. Our September book will be announced soon along with instructions for signing up. Be on the lookout on digital signage and bulletin boards for this information. The book club is open to all employees across the organization and we encourage anyone who is interested to sign up!
Movie Night
Everyone loves a movie night. We’re excited to offer a couple of fun options for a family movie night soon. Those employees located in Kentucky are invited to join us for a socially distanced drive-in movie night at the Nelson County Fair Grounds in Bardstown, Kentucky. More information and sign-up protocol will be shared soon. Not in Kentucky? Don’t worry, we have something special planned for everyone else!
Bourbon Heritage Center Tours
We know everyone is anxious to see the progress being made on the Bourbon Heritage Center in Bardstown, Kentucky! We’ll be sharing more information soon about how you can have an exclusive inside look at the renovation before the facility is complete and open to the public.
Care Packages
We were thrilled with the tremendous response to the Summer Safety care packages. As a reminder, those employees who submitted a photo or video of their Summer Safety unboxing were entered for a chance to win a prize. We’ll be sharing those winners soon. Keep an eye out in the coming months as you may be receiving another fun surprise this fall!
Appreciation Luncheons
We are so thankful for the hard work and dedication of those employees working in our facilities. To show our gratitude, we have or will be hosting periodic appreciation luncheons for employees working at each facility in Kentucky, Texas, and Lethbridge, Canada.
We have a lot of other fun things in the works to promote employee engagement and show our appreciation. In the meantime, we’re excited to kick off the initiatives above and we’ll share more information as new activities and initiatives are finalized.
