HHB Employees Raise $16,921 Through Annual Philanthropy Projects
Last year, we asked you, the Heaven Hill Brands team, to submit charities to be considered for our 2022 Annual Philanthropy Projects. One project was selected for Heaven Hill team members in the United States and one was selected for our team members in Canada. We are proud to announce that both projects together raised $16,921!
US 2022 Annual Philanthropy Project
Assistant Brand Manager Kayla Walters nominated the Norton Children’s Hospital Foundation to be the US focus this year. The Norton Children’s Hospital Foundation is the philanthropic arm for Norton Children’s pediatric facilities and services. The Foundation raises funds exclusively for Norton Children’s Hospital, Kentucky’s only full-service, free-standing hospital created “Just for Kids”. Norton Children’s Medical Center and pediatric services at Norton Women’s & Children’s Hospital also support programs, equipment, new technologies, clinical research, child advocacy and health education for patients, families, medical staff and the community. Norton Children’s Hospital serves all families, regardless of their ability to pay.
US-based employees participated in various drawings and with Heaven Hill’s company match, raised over $8,900 for this incredible foundation.
Canada 2022 Annual Philanthropy Project
Lethbridge Soup Kitchen, an impactful local nonprofit in the same city where our Black Velvet production facility operates, was chosen to receive the proceeds from Heaven Hill’s 2022 Canada project. Lethbridge Soup Kitchen’s mission is to assist in the alleviation of poverty by operating a Soup Kitchen for individuals and families who are poor, have very limited income or are simply in need of a hot meal. The organization also desires to increase public awareness of the needs of the poor and homeless in the Lethbridge community.
Canada-based employees, along with Heaven Hill’s match, raised a grand total of $8,000 for the local organization.
