Jeff Crowe Expands Role in Local, Regional Tourism and Hospitality Efforts

Building on his long record of community outreach, Heaven Hill Director of Kentucky Experiences Jeff Crowe was recently named president of the Bardstown-Nelson County Hospitality Association and Chair of the Southeast Tourism Society’s (STS) domestic marketplace for 14 southern states. Jeff also received an appointment from Bardstown Mayor J. Richard Heaton to serve on the Bardstown-Nelson County Tourism Board of Directors.

“Being family owned and operated, it’s important for Heaven Hill to take a lead role in these community-driven efforts,” said Jeff. “Our involvement allows us to keep up with changes and gives us a say in how marketing of our attractions is handled – including how we promote our distilleries in town.”

Jeff’s participation and leadership on both the Bardstown-Nelson County Tourism Board and Bardstown-Nelson County Hospitality Association engage him in regional tourism and events, marketing and promoting the local hospitality industry (hotels, restaurants and attractions), respectively. His involvement helps to keep him informed early on of marketing initiatives and events that are being planned for the years ahead.

“This opens doors for us early on and puts us ahead of the curve on events that could be a blessing for us,” said Jeff.

As Chair of the STS domestic marketplace, Jeff will lead marketing efforts to the group travel industry – including motor coach travel – to attract travelers to attractions like Heaven Hill’s Bourbon Heritage Center and Evan Williams Bourbon Experience. STS is comprised of 14 regions, including Alabama, Arkansas, The District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.

Jeff has dedicated his career to bettering his community both as an entrepreneur and a tourism expert. Before joining the Heaven Hill team, he served as Executive Director of the Estill Economic Alliance and as National Scenic Byways Director and President and CEO of the Southern and Eastern Kentucky Tourism Association.

In addition to Jeff’s roles with the STS and in Bardstown-Nelson County, he also serves as Treasurer of the Kentucky Travel Industry Association , Vice President of the Louisville Main Street Association, Chairman of the Louisville Attraction Reopening Sector and Louisville’s COVID-19 Reopening Task Force for Attractions, and on several other local and state tourism boards.

Please join us in thanking Jeff for his service and congratulating him on his recent appointment to leadership positions for the Bardstown area and our southeastern region.
