June is National Safety Month
What is Safety?
Safety is the state of being “safe”, the condition of being protected from harm or other non-desirable outcomes. Safety can also refer to the control of recognized hazards in order to achieve an acceptable level of risk. – Wikipedia
Safety isn’t a job; it’s a mentality. At Heaven Hill we adopt this mentality because safety is important for both our employees and our families, whether that’s wearing our seatbelts while driving down the road, having safety glasses on when we’re doing those DIY projects around the house, putting gloves on at work, or thinking outside the box to get something done safer rather than faster. After all, a good carpenter measures twice and only cuts once. Taking those extra minutes can make all the difference.
We show up for ourselves every day, in various ways. We eat healthy, we exercise, we get eight hours of sleep. But this means little if we don’t show up for ourselves when it comes to safe practices at work and home.
