Say Hello To Ashley Cuyjet, EWBE Operations Manager

How long have you been part of the Heaven Hill family?

I started a month before EWBE opened, so just about 7 years and 10 months ago!

What’s inspiring you in life right now?

Knowing how much this past year has affected all of us, I’m really cherishing the time I get to spend with friends and family nowadays. It’s crazy how much I missed that social interaction in 2020.

Tell us about an organization or cause you are passionate about.

Girls Rock Louisville! Their mission is to empower girls, trans, and gender non-conforming youth from all backgrounds by exploring music creation in a supportive, inclusive environment. This organization gives these kids, who might not normally have access to quality instrument instruction, an encouraging and safe space to learn and collaborate with a diverse group of campers.  I love attending the show at the end of camp because as a minority, female, music-lover it warms my heart to see these kids rock out!

Which Heaven Hill corporate value do you relate to most and why?

It’s a tie between Nimble and Teamwork. I think working at  the Visitor Centers you have to be nimble because you truly never know what each day might bring you – water leaks one day, an unscheduled group of 50 people showing up the next. But as a team we always come together to get through whatever surprises might come our way.

What’s your favorite Heaven Hill memory?

I am truly blessed to work with such an amazing team here at EWBE, some of which I’ve been with since day one! There are way too many times filled with laughter, tears, sometimes tears from laughter to choose a favorite! Seriously one of the most fun places I’ve ever worked.

What’s one thing people may not know about you?

I’m a numbers nerd! I love spreadsheets. 😊

What’s your favorite time of day?

Evenings, for sure. I’m definitely not a morning person, and evenings are when my partner and I take our dog Hank for long walks and talk about each other’s days. It’s the best way to unwind from a busy day.

What are three things you can’t live without?

My family, my sphynx cat Charles, and a camera.

What would you like to be remembered for?

I strive to always be a fair, honest, and hard worker. Those who know me best know that I’m compassionate, but very business-minded – I’m a Virgo, so this makes total sense!
