Say Hello to Bobby Lee, Senior Manager, Regulatory Compliance

How long have you been part of the Heaven Hill family?

I’ve been part of the Heaven Hill family 14 years.

What’s inspiring you in life right now?

My grandchildren are the light of my life and bring me a great deal of joy. I have two kids of my own, and they each have young children.

Tell us about an organization or cause you are passionate about.

I’m a strong supporter of causes that strive to bring environmental awareness. It’s important to be to be a good steward of the earth. When I think about my family, I just want to leave a world for them that’s better than it was when I found it. I’m passionate about this and just more broadly – human rights and fair treatment for people, regardless of race, color, religion, etc. and equal opportunity and equity.

Which Heaven Hill corporate value do you relate to most and why?

Integrity. Without integrity, everything else becomes less relevant or not achievable; to me. I think of it from the perspective of – how do I put into practice these other values, if I don’t have Integrity as a foundation?

What’s your favorite Heaven Hill memory?

In the past our holiday parties have been more modest affairs, and they would always solicit someone who wanted to do something creative, like singing, acting or putting on skits. I’m fortunate to have been involved in some of those activities. Also, during Halloween at the Bardstown plant years ago, employees were encouraged to dress up. These simple, personal activities are the ones that stand out to me the most and are very important.

What’s one thing people may not know about you?

In my leisure time, I enjoy working with my hands. I think people might be surprised by that, since they usually see me in the office environment. If they were to see me at home on the weekend in bib overalls and a hat, they would probably look twice. I do woodworking and gardening and enjoy getting my hands dirty.

What’s your favorite time of day?

Mornings. I like to see the sun rise and do a little jogging. My favorite time to do that is in the morning. I enjoy getting up just before the dawn, being outside, taking a run and sitting on my patio, sipping a cup of coffee.

What are three things you can’t live without?

Family, friendship, and the outdoors.

What would you like to be remembered for?

Being a good dad and grandfather.
