Say Hello to Mario Deronsle, Control State Customer Service Inventory/Traffic Coordinator

How long have you been part of the Heaven Hill family?

I’ve been part of the team two months.

What’s inspiring you in life right now?

Being a better person. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve started to realize it isn’t all about me. It’s about helping people and being a person you can go to in times of need.

Tell us about an organization or cause you are passionate about.

I’m passionate about helping the homeless. When I see a homeless person, I give them money and things they need. Anyone can be homeless if they’ve been dealt a bad hand.

Which Heaven Hill corporate value do you relate to most and why?

Being in the supply chain and in a customer service role, I align with all of them. I identify quite a bit with Continuous Improvement, because we’re always trying to find a better way to do things.

What’s your favorite Heaven Hill memory?

In the past I’ve never received notes from my leadership team, but I received two handwritten notes in the past two months – one from Allan and one from Kate Latts. I’ve also received more gifts over the past few months than any place I’ve ever worked. Heaven Hill cares about its employees.

What’s one thing people may not know about you?

I’m a pretty good cook. When I first met my wife 12 years ago, the only thing I knew how to make was pasta and sauce. The first time I made something for her, she got sick. 😊 Now I cook all the time.

What’s your favorite time of day?

Afternoon. I’m not a morning person, but in the afternoon I’m always charged and ready to go.

What are three things you can’t live without?

My wife and two kids – even though they drive me crazy. I have a son, Kale, who is seven, and daughter, Sage, who is 6. My wife’s name is Samantha. And, I can’t live without traveling and money.

What would you like to be remembered for?

For being inspiring. I want to be known for being a good person. Sometimes I look at estate sales, and it’s funny. You go into some of these houses, and these people have the nicest things in the world, until they pass away. Life’s not about possessions. I want the think I’m remembered for to be being a good person.
