Say Hello to Megan Reynolds, Operations Business Analysis Manager
How long have you been part of the Heaven Hill family?
As of March 26th I have been here for nine years.
What’s inspiring you in life right now?
The world’s resilience. With the pandemic and everything that has occurred over the last 12 months, it is amazing how everyone has really moved forward and continued to be successful.
Our company’s resilience with adapting to challenges of labor shortages, supply disruptions, etc.
Tell us about an organization or cause you are passionate about.
The organization I definitely spend the most time with and have dedicated much of the past nine years to is our youth sports program in our community, ranging from basketball, to football and baseball. I initially got involved because my own children were playing, but I have continued to offer my services and support even as they have moved on from some.
Youth sports are a great way to not only be active and healthy but to teach life lessons about teamwork, hard work and relationships. I have met a lot of kids along the way — some we have helped that were struggling with behavior issues, some with home issues and it is so rewarding to see some of these kids now in high school and the success they have made for themselves.
Which Heaven Hill corporate value do you relate to most and why?
This is an easy one, and anyone who remembers Mark Pulliam knows he would be proud of me for choosing this one: Integrity. With integrity comes trust, and trust is the foundation of any relationship, whether that is a personal or professional relationship. I always strive to present my authentic self and feel that has helped me in my career to build trust and relationships with others who have been critical to my success.
What’s your favorite Heaven Hill memory?
My favorite memory would probably be the first acquisition I worked on with the company. I was part of a team that spent several weeks and several trips to Austin to help transition Deep Eddy into our Heaven Hill systems in 2017. This project required me to step outside of my day to day role in accounting at the time and learn just about every other part of the manufacturing side of the business. I really feel that acquisition was the turning point that set me up for success in my current role. I was able to work with a great team as well (and that was a good thing because we definitely spent a lot of time together 😊).
What’s one thing people may not know about you?
I have a pretty mean crossover and literally broke my husband’s ankle when he tried to guard me. Not funny at the time it happened, but he will never live it down now!
What’s your favorite time of day?
Late night when everyone else has fallen asleep. This is when I get my best work done or get the opportunity to read, catch up on Netflix series and prepare for the next day.
What are three things you can’t live without?
Family, Faith and Sweet Tea (my worst vice, but man it’s good)
What would you like to be remembered for?
I would like to be remembered as the person who was always willing to help out, no matter the person or the situation. I would like to be remembered as a great mother, wife and friend.
