Say Hello to Rob Rubinstein, National Sales Operations Manager

Say Hello to Rob Rubinstein, National Sales Operations Manager

How long have you been part of the Heaven Hill family?

This August was my 10-year anniversary. It’s amazing to look back and see how much our company has grown in that time but also exciting to know that we’re not done growing yet!

What’s inspiring you in life right now?

There seems to be a lot of talented, intelligent and socially-engaged young people out there, and it gives me hope that the future is brighter than it seems at the moment.

Tell us about an organization or cause you are passionate about.

I am a big supporter of our local Little League. I am one of those guys who believes that there is a baseball analogy for everything, and that all the answers to life’s questions are somewhere on the field. I’ve pushed baseball on my boys since they were able to walk. Luckily, they seem to be ok with it.

Which Heaven Hill corporate value do you relate to most and why?

I love that being nimble is a core value.  Bureaucracy can quash ideas and delay doing the right things. The fact that we encourage acting quickly and smartly to meet market conditions gives us a real competitive advantage.

What’s your favorite Heaven Hill memory?

I’m cheating a little, because it isn’t just one, but some of the holiday parties stand out. For instance, last year we gave Mark Pulliam a nice retirement send-off. And, there was the one from a few years ago when Max had his big anniversary with the company.

In general, it’s always a fun night and comes after the National Sales Meeting, so we can let out a deep breath and enjoy the moment.

What’s one thing people may not know about you?

I’m actually a blonde (kidding, but believe it or not, Elvis Presley was).

What’s your favorite time of day?

Early evening. I like to exercise and feel my best later in the day.

What are three things you can’t live without?

My morning coffee, my family and my news/sports feeds.

What would you like to be remembered for?

Just for being a good guy — someone who tried to make things better and was never out to purposely do harm.
