September is Suicide Prevention Month

The month of September is National Suicide Prevention Month in the United States. All month, mental health advocates, prevention organizations, survivors, allies, and community members from across the country unite to promote suicide prevention awareness. It’s a time to remember those affected by suicide, to raise awareness and to focus efforts on directing treatment to those who need it most.
Upcoming Webinar
To participate in the communities coming together for Suicide Prevention Month, we invite you to register for an upcoming Suicide Awareness webinar hosted by our Resources for Living partners. The webinar will be hosted live on Sept. 26, 2023 from 3-4pm EST.
Available Resources
As a reminder, Heaven Hill has a 24/7 Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Any team member can click here to learn more for them or for members of their household. The national 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is also always available to any person within the United States.
Community Action
Heaven Hill recently announced a new investment in West Louisville with an intentional focus on disparities in the areas of mental health, education, and economic development. Our investment in mental health is designed to support community health initiatives, including nutrition, physical activity, psychological counseling, and medical charitable organizations.
This month, our Corporate Citizenship team is helping one of our community partners, Ashlee Phillips and a team of therapists, organize a workshop series to support our neighbors in the California community, where Bernheim Distillery is located in Louisville, KY. The workshops will help California residents address their deep-rooted traumas associated with societal issues and cope with everyday obstacles.
