We are pleased to announce that February 27, 2020 marked another milestone for the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience with the filling of its 1,500th barrel of Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. Staff gathered in the lobby of the EWBE as Artisanal Distiller Jodie Filiatreau bunged the 1,500th barrel produced since the visitor center’s grand opening on November 15, 2013. This marks an impressive milestone for the EWBE team as the facility produces just one barrel of Bourbon Whiskey each day, compared to the 1,300 ba​​rre​ls produced each day at the Heaven Hill Bernheim Distillery. The EWBE produced its 1300th barrel in April 2019, another exciting milestone for the team.

“It’s so exciting to see all of our hard work come to life with each barrel milestone,” Jodie says. “It’s an honor to get the chance to produce delicious whiskey every day and I can’t wait for the day that the world gets to try the products we have worked so hard to produce over the past six and a half years.”

​​This follows closely after the filling of Heaven Hill Distillery’s 8.5 millionth barrel which took place in August 2019. Heaven Hill now has more than 1.7 million aging barrels of Kentucky Bourbon in its inventory and remains true today to its original mission as a family-owned and operated, independent Kentucky company.​
