(August 21, 2023) Today, Elijah Craig is proud to announce the one-time release of its Small Batch Bourbon packaged to commemorate the 2023 Ryder Cup. Earlier this year, Elijah Craig announced a multi-year partnership which makes the Bourbon brand the “Official Bourbon” and a Worldwide Supplier of the biennial competition
Elijah Craig is credited with being the first distiller to char oak barrels to make Bourbon, thus becoming known as “The Father of Bourbon”. Today Heaven Hill Master Distillers’ expertise and attention to detail give Elijah Craig Small Batch the right balance of full body and rich flavor. Each Small Batch carries a signature warm spice and subtle smoke flavor which belongs in any whiskey fan’s regular rotation. Bottled at 94 proof, Elijah Craig Small Batch has a delightfully complex aroma with notes of vanilla bean, sweet fruit and fresh mint. Tasting notes include an initial woodiness on the palate accented by spice, smoke and nutmeg. The finish is long, sweet and slightly toasty.
Speaking about the release Bryan Fallon, Managing Director, Heaven Hill International said: “We are thrilled to raise a glass to the 2023 Ryder Cup with this commemorative release of Elijah Craig Small Batch. We look forward to celebrating this storied event over a glass of Elijah Craig come September.”
Guy Kinnings, Ryder Cup Director, added: “Elijah Craig’s award-winning Bourbon is going to further elevate the spectator experience in Rome, and their new limited-edition bottle will both taste incredible and become a sought-after souvenir commemorating the greatest team contest in golf.”
Jeff Price, Chief Commercial Officer, PGA of America, said “The PGA of America is ecstatic to have Elijah Craig as part of the 2023 Ryder Cup experience in Rome. This extraordinary limited-edition release of Elijah Craig Small Batch is the perfect way to celebrate the world’s premier golf competition.”
Each bottle will be adorned with a neck label featuring the Ryder Cup trophy, a tag detailing the partnership between Elijah Craig Bourbon and the Ryder Cup, and a face label prominently featuring the “Official Bourbon” designation and Ryder Cup logo. The Elijah Craig Small Batch Ryder Cup commemorative bottling (70cl) is available now on an allocated basis in select International Markets.
Elijah Craig continues to leave its mark on the golf world, where it is also known as the Official Bourbon and Whiskey Supplier of the PGA of America, PGA Championship, KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, and an official partner of the PGA National Club Championship. Elijah Craig is also “The Official Bourbon” of PGA TOUR Professional Golfer Max Homa, sports broadcaster Amanda Balionis-Renner, and the AT&T Pebble Beach Tournament.
