We all know the Deep Eddy Vodka campaign “Vodka is for Fun,” but what you may not know is that in Buda, TX at the DEV Facility, the Deep Eddy team excels at making work fun as well. Our team members who work at the Buda plant work hard to efficiently produce high quality products. It’s no surprise that due to the pride and competitive nature of the team, they’ve come up with creative ways to recognize that hard work.

At the facility, three different teams work on three different bottling lines. Each week, one line earns the prestigious title, “Reliability Champion.” 

So, how is the Reliability Champion selected? Each week, teams receive reliability reports. After examining the reliability numbers, the line with the highest score is presented with the Deep Eddy Reliability Belt and claims bragging rights for the week.

The idea for this competition started three years ago when the Buda leadership was looking for a way to recognize the dedication of their team members who work on the bottling line. This competition, in addition to other incentives, has allowed the Buda plant to achieve incredible success on a daily basis. The team’s choice to implement this idea brought to life the Spirited Commitment core behavior, “Improve Every Day,” in an authentic and effective way.
