Lunazul Stars in Chili’s National Margarita Day Celebration with Creative Campaigns and Signature Cocktails
Chili’s is making a splash this year with National Margarita Month, and Lunazul Tequila is at the heart of the celebration. With a commitment to innovative marketing and customer engagement, Chili’s invested its largest-ever budget into promoting National Margarita Day this past Saturday with Lunazul playing a starring role and Deep Eddy Vodka as a supporting role.

I’ll Be Home for National Margarita Day follows Liz (Maria Menounos) as she returns to her hometown of Ferguson Falls, where National Margarita Day is the town’s biggest celebration, centered around Chili’s. She unexpectedly reunites with her ex, Sam (Taye Diggs), just as a big-city developer threatens to disrupt the town’s traditions. As they fight to save the holiday, Liz and Sam rekindle their romance, leading to a heartwarming conclusion.
This creative approach marks the most marketing dollars Chili’s has ever allocated to a single-day holiday, following a record-breaking year in which the brand sold over 25 million margaritas in 2024 which was more than any other U.S. restaurant chain. During the Lifetime movie premiere event at The Roxy Hotel in New York City, guests were treated to the Chili’s Margarita of the Month called the StrawEddy Margarita, made with Deep Eddy Lemon Vodka and Lunazul Blanco Tequila. The event created buzz and excitement, setting the stage for the main celebration.
On National Margarita Day, Chili’s featured its iconic $9.50 Presidente Margarita, crafted with Lunazul Reposado Tequila as the key ingredient, in addition to the $6 StrawEddy Margarita. The StrawEddy Margarita will be featured on the Chili’s menu for the remainder of February.
