Say Hello to Jessica Happel, Senior Marketing Procurement Specialist

How long have you been part of the Heaven Hill family?

7 1/2 years.

What’s inspiring you in life right now?

My 5 year old twin boys. They keep life fun and simple.

Tell us about an organization or cause you are passionate about.

Each year my family hosts a charity golf scramble to raise money for the James Graham Brown Cancer Center. My father-in-law was diagnosed with cancer, and the doctors at JGBCC were instrumental in his treatment protocol, thru researching new medicines to improve his quality of life. He was supposed to be the first recipient of stereotactic radiation on the spinal cord, which was a treatment only used for brain cancer at that time. Unfortunately, the passing of my father-in-law happened two days before his first treatment. We believe in the mission at the James Graham Brown Cancer Center as they provide research and treatment protocols to hospitals, like MD Anderson in Houston, TX. The doctors at JGBCC are confident there will be a cure for cancer very soon, and the donations from the community allow their search for the cure to continue.

Which Heaven Hill corporate value do you relate to most and why?

It’s my moral compass to always do the right thing and treat others with upmost respect.

What’s your favorite Heaven Hill memory?

My first national sales meeting.

What’s one thing people may not know about you?

My family owned a children’s clothing store for 30 years. I grew up working the store during every school break and attended the apparel marts several times a year to assist my parents with the buying.

What’s your favorite time of day?

Saturday morning, between 7-7:45 am to be exact. My house is quiet and I can enjoy my coffee . . . by myself.

What are three things you can’t live without?

My faith, family, and friends.

What would you like to be remembered for?

Being a good mother, wife, friend, and colleague that showed compassion and cared for others.
