Reconnect, Relax, and Recharge
Making the Most of an Extended Weekend
The past few weeks have definitely shaken up most of our daily routines, to say the least. As an extended weekend approaches, it is important to focus on making the most of it. This is the perfect time to Reconnect, Relax, and Recharge.
While many of us have been cooped up with members of our household more than we are accustomed to, take time to enjoy each other’s company. Here are some activities to do together and help you Reconnect:
- Plan and make a Meal – You can even shake things up and pick a Theme!
- Make a Home Improvement Wishlist.
- Do some Yard Work or Plan a Garden.
- Binge Watch a show that you’ve been wanting to catch up on.
- Board Games (or even ANOTHER puzzle)
The constant changes in agendas and barrage of news updates can be quite exhausting mentally and physically. Try out some of these activities to help you Relax and Recharge:
- Take a solo Walk – Enjoy the weather.
- Do some light Yoga or Meditate.
- Get Creative – Craft, Make Art or Music.
- Take Naps (Because – Why not?!).
Since it is a holiday weekend, it is also important to not skip out on your typical traditions. If your family usually celebrates Passover or Easter, find a way to make that happen this weekend – even if you have to think outside of the box. Get creative with an Egg Hunt (Not just for kids!) or spend an evening enjoying a live streamed service. Large family gatherings may not be on the menu this year, but technology can help out with a virtual brunch or dinner with loved ones. Keep your local restaurants in mind, as many eateries are offering special holiday meals for delivery or carry-out. This year, perhaps more than ever, is a perfect time to reflect on the true reason we have these traditions.
We are so appreciative of all the hard work and dedication the team has demonstrated over the past few weeks. Now, more than ever, we encourage you to take this long weekend to relax, unwind, and refresh. As we have said before, we are all in this together and we are going to get through this together. Whether you take the time to get outside or you spend the weekend inside relaxing, we hope you take a break and enjoy your holiday.
We would love to see how you spent your weekend! Take photos of the ways you’re celebrating the weekend and share them with [email protected]. We will share throughout next week.
