Say Hello to Marsha Holt, Supervisor, Regulatory Compliance

How long have you been part of the Heaven Hill family?

I am in my 40th year. I believe I was 10 when I started. 😊

What’s inspiring you in life right now?

My 3yr old granddaughter. She sees the world so differently than we do. Everything is new and exciting. I am really enjoying spending time with her and seeing the world through her eyes.

Tell us about an organization or cause you are passionate about.

Go Red for Women. Heart Disease is the number one killer of women and it took my mom at too young of an age. Take care of yourself, get your checkups and exercise!

Which Heaven Hill corporate value do you relate to most and why?

Teamwork – Last year a control state division team was formed and is now lead by Jacob Sabel and Avery Sparrow. I work closely with these two guys and the sales force across the 18 control states managing pricing and brand registrations. We all jump through a lot of hoops together to get new products into a control state and to stay competitive with our pricing. I just want to add this Team ROCKS. I appreciate their dedication and passion for what they do and I enjoy working with each one of them.

What’s your favorite Heaven Hill memory?

WOW. With 40 years of employment, I would need weeks to mention all of my favorite HH memories. We have had so many celebrations together: potluck meals, secretary days, Halloween parties, Churchill Downs gatherings, Christmas parties, I could go on forever and share something special about each one of them. My favorite memory would have to be Max Shapira dancing on his desk! Knowing him for so long, seeing him in a suit and tie every day and always all business — and then witnessing that. Never in a million years would I have expected that . . . Priceless!

What’s one thing people may not know about you?

My first job was at Bloomfield Florist. I mastered the task of hand-tying a bow. I have tied so many bows over the years and for many people, everything from hair bows and gifts to wreaths and bows for Christmas trees. if you ever receive a present from me, it will definitely come with a big bow.

What’s your favorite time of day?

Evening — I love a beautiful sunset  and cruising in our convertible in the evening. My husband and I would take sunset rides when we were dating (42 years ago), and today we still enjoy this.

What are three things you can’t live without?

My family, a diet coke and a new pair of shoes!

What would you like to be remembered for?

I know I will always be remembered for my love of shoes but I would like to think I would be remembered as a caring person, and someone that is always willing to step up and lend a helping hand.
